1. Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is holding its national conference in Atlanta July 17-22; registration is requested by Jan. 31. More than 2,500 attendees are expected. Six scholarships are available for the conference. For information, go to http://deafdigest.net/2011ridconfrence

2. Free children's dental clinic at the Charlottesville Free Clinic; children with special needs up to age 18 and all children under 3. Application deadline is Feb. 7; services will be offered on Feb. 26 and March 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.in Charlottesville, May 7 in Saltville, and May 14 in Martinsville. 4. 10th Annual Autism Conference in Richmond, March 8-9; Commonwealth Autism Service is hosting a 2-day conference for parents, teachers, clinicians, first responders, and others interested in autism.
