Help for PTSD sufferers

About 8 percent of all Americans suffer from some form of post-traumatic stress disorder; that number balloons to 30 percent -- nearly 1 in 3 -- of all veterans and active service personnel.

Stay Strong Nation recently formed as a nonprofit to assist military personnel with PTSD issues.

The volunteer group consists of veterans who've battled PTSD/TBI (traumatic brain injury) themselves; it produces educational literature and an inspirational CD/prayer; it is currently working on collecting postcards from Americans wanting to send warm wishes to service personnel in Afghanistan. Visit staystrongnation.org.

The group is focused on raising public awareness and on raising funds -- $20 million -- to construct a facility in Maui for a therapy based, life-changing program.

The group is also planning a comprehensive study on the effects of ProArgi9-plus, a new treatment that is cardiovascular-based without the side effects of other prescription medications.
